He's the guy who looks like he's about to go somewhere.]
[ martin literally can't remember the last time he's been on a proper vacation. it's been ages, and it's a little strange to think he's afforded the freedom now. good-strange. he'll take it.
ford isn't hard to spot, so martin will raise a hand as he approaches, looking slightly sleepy as he adjusts the strap of his own backpack. ]
Hey, um- Ford, right? Jon's walking the dog, he'll be here soon.
[Ford looks at him. He's curious, but he's also a little awkward. Situations where he has to make small talk with people he doesn't know always make him kind of anxious.
But this is someone Jon cares a lot about! In a way Ford identifies with! He's going to make an effort to be friendly.]

He's not really worried, exactly -- Ford gave up on his own secrets not being on display ages ago! -- but it's still kind of a ha ha, well, you probably know some things I'm open about but not proud of!]
He brings you up pretty often, too. Said you could use this vacation about as much as he could. And I think we both know how badly he needs one.
